How To Remove Syrup Stains

Syrup screams weekend brunch and scrumptious waffles, pancakes and or french toast.  The chance of getting a little syrup on your clothes or table linens is inevitable.  Add kids to the mix and your pancake Saturdays are laden with sticky goodness on more than just your clothes.  Fear not!  We are here to provide a few simple steps to assist in removing syrup stains.

1) When possible, treat immediately.

2) Scrape off any excess syrup.

3) Pretreat using a small amount of dish soap or white vinegar and water and dab the stain using a white cloth.  The white cloth will assist in ensuring no color transfer from your towel to your garments or linens.  Allow to sit for 10-15 minutes.

4) Wash the garment as usual.

5) Always check the care label.  If dry cleaning is required, trust the label and bring your garments or linens to your local dry cleaner.
